Assortment

All ChampFood products contain denatured soybean meal and other organic protein sources. During the production process, the vegetable protein content is protected to provide a delayed release capability and prevent competitor molds from readily utilizing the nutrients.

ChampFood products have different levels of minerals, which are required for mycelium growth and fruit body formation. The availability of trace elements and vitamins is often less optimal in compost and are optimized by different ChampFood products.

Application of ChampFood

A distinction must be made between supplementation at spawning and at casing.

ChampFood S is designed specifically for use at Spawning, ChampFood C is designed for use at Casing and should be incorporated into fully colonized compost.

The normal rate of use is between 0.8 and 1.5 kg/sq.m. which is equates to 0.8-1.5 % of the wet weight of the compost or 3-5% of the dry weight.

Rate depends upon your growing system (tray, shelf, blocks or bags), climate control, quality of the compost, structure of the compost, moisture content of the compost, supplement mixing system, season of the year and grower experience.
