What is ChampFood?
ChampFood is a mushroom compost supplement (organic fertilizer for mushrooms) that is developed and distributed by the ChampFood International in the Netherlands. Basically it is a vegetable high protein mix based on organic ingredients enriched with vitamins, mineral and trace elements.
Is ChampFood Organic?
Regarding the different organic laws in different countries we can produce certified tailormade organic blends.
Is ChampFood GMO (Genetic Modified Organism) free?
We can supply product with a non-GMO certificate on request.
What kind of mushroom is ChampFood made for?
Different blends are available for the cultivated white button (Agaricus Bosporis or also know as Champignon de Paris), Brown cups, Portabella Mushrooms, Oyster and Shii-taki mushrooms.
What can I expect when I use ChampFood products?
After mixing well with the compost at spawning or just before casing, ChampFood will increase your total yield, and improve quality of the mushrooms in 2nd, 3d, and later breaks.
Will ChampFood be harmful to my mushroom?
In a selective compost, ChampFood will increase yield and quality by 10-30%.
ChampFood should not be used when there is a clear evidence of the presence of competitor molds in the compost.
Will ChampFood affect my mushroom-quality?
ChampFood products give a better quality, closed and firmer mushrooms at the later breaks.
Will ChampFood make my mushrooms taste different?
Tests have shown a higher dry-weight of the mushrooms and a longer shelf life.
What is the shelf-life of ChampFood products?
If kept in a natural dry place, shelf-life is 9 months. However, due to the vitamins we recommend that you use the ChampFood supplement within 6 months.
